The refrigerator is quieter, and only emits a slight sound.
The capacity of the refrigerator is 295 litres. The refrigerator compartment holds 209 litres while the bottom-mounted storage freezer provides 89 litres. Despite being a classic compressor model, the Swan is extremely quiet for its size. We tested it at a modest 42dB while it was running. This is significantly quieter than models made 10 years ago, and also quieter than the majority of fridge freezers on our Best Buy chart.
Temperature stability was also good for a refrigerator that was this kind. The top, middle and bottom shelves all maintained an average temperature that was within a couple of degrees either side of the maximum figure. The temperature in the salad drawer varied from 5oC to just below freezing.
As with the SR11010, the fridge needs an occasional manual defrost, but it is classified as A+ for energy efficiency. This is the most energy-efficient fridge freezer on our Best Buy chart. It will help keep your energy costs at a minimum.
